"Critical incident" declared at Royal Sussex as all beds are full
The Royal Sussex Hospital have advised that they are dealing with a "critical incident" meaning the hospital is at capacity (i.e. all of its beds are occupied).
Some operations and clinics will be cancelled, and patients are advised to attend accident and emergency only if really necessary.
