We promote the NHS Long Term Plan

Healthwatch England have been given £500,000 in relation to the NHS Long Term Plan, to promote engagement with the public, patients and NHS and Social Care staff.

These funds are being distributed regionally.  Each local Healthwatch, including Brighton and Hove, will receive £2,500.

Healthwatch East Sussex will be leading and coordinating the engagement in our region and getting paid a little extra for taking on that task.

Healthwatch England will provide us with an NHS Long Term Plan survey and we have a local target of 250 completed surveys to achieve in Brighton and Hove. We hope to have the survey before the end of February 2019 and we will be sending out copies to our volunteers and loading it on our web site. We also hope to get permission to place the survey on the Brighton and Hove Consultation Portal.

Engagement

Healthwatch engagement on the NHS Long Term Plan is running parallel with engagement from our Brighton and Hove CCG and Sussex and East Surrey STP on their plans for the NHS locally.
