Number of patients per GP continues to rise in Brighton and Hove

NHS Digital figures for March 2018 show a decline in the number of GPs and an increase in the number of patients registered in the city.

The total number of GPs declined from 132 (September 2017) to 130. The number of patients registered increased from 315, 307 to 317,787.

Overall this means an increase in the number of patients per GP, rising from 2394 to 2445. This is significantly higher than the England figure of 1758.
