Volunteering Opportunities

Healthwatch Brighton and Hove is an organisation led by and for local people. We have a fantastic group of volunteers who work with us on a number of projects. Their skills are varied and wide-ranging and across all the volunteer team, enthusiasm is shown for the aims of Healthwatch.  We really appreciate the hard work these people do, giving up their time and energy and we certainly could not carry out the work we do without them.

Healthwatch are currently in the scoping stage on a number of new projects, which we hope to develop in the New Year.  We anticipate that we will need further volunteers, in addition to our current group, to help us with this work and this is where you come in.

If you are interested in any of the following areas or you think you may be able to offer something additional to this, please contact [email protected] with a completed application form and equal opportunities monitoring form.  We would be particularly keen if you have an interest or expertise in the following specialist areas:

Frail Elders
Mental Health
Maternity
Cancer

We would also like to hear from you if you would like to get involved in our service review activities as either of the following roles:

Enter and View Authorised Representative

Engagement and Communications Assistant

Healthwatch could not be successful without the support from volunteers – we would love to hear from you!

At Healthwatch Brighton and Hove we offer our volunteers a fulfilling and valuable role, induction and training, support from staff, and payment of out-of-pocket expenses.  We rely on our volunteers to carry out Healthwatch’s work, and we aim to recruit from all sections of the community.
