We can provide you with information and signposting about local health and social care services. This includes how to access them and what to do if things go wrong.
We can help you with queries related to local NHS and social care services, including those provided by GPs/family doctors, dental surgeons, pharmacists, opticians.
We are here to listen to your concerns, suggestions, questions and comments.
If you should need to make a complaint about an NHS or social care service we can put you in touch with an advocate who can offer support and guidance.

Independent Complaints Advocacy Service - ICAS
ICAS can provide you with the information you need, and a specialist Advocate, to support you to make a complaint about your NHS care or treatment. It can help you to understand the options you have the implication of each option and then support you to take the course of action you wish to take.
- This is a free service available to all residents of Brighton and Hove and is independent of the NHS.
- You can download ICAS self-help information pack if you wish to handle your complaint without an Advocate.
- ICAS Advocates can support you through the NHS complaints procedures including helping you to write letters and attend meetings with you.
