Significant improvements in The Broadway Surgery
Back in February 2016, The Broadway Surgery in Whitehawk Road was rated inadequate and was placed into special measures by the Care Quality Commission.
Summary
After this inspection, the practice put an action plan in place to make sustainable improvements to the areas of concern which CQC had outlined, and to make sure that regulations were met.
We are very pleased to announce that the practice’s hard work paid off and after the another CQC visit the practice has been rated as GOOD.
CQC’s Chief Inspector of General Practice says in the latest report that the practice is now safe, effective, caring, well-led, although it still requires improvement for being responsive to people’s needs, for instance the practice needs to put measures in place to increase the uptake of national screening programmes including cervical screening and screening for breast and bowel cancer.
