We are recruiting for Directors

For nearly seven years, Healthwatch Brighton and Hove has been the watchdog for health and social care issues for people of this city. We have been successful in influencing and shaping services and bringing user and public views to debates and decisions about local services. We are now inviting applications to join our Board as some of our existing Directors are coming to the end of their six-year tenures.

  • Do you have the drive and time to be a Director of Healthwatch Brighton and Hove?
  • Do you have the knowledge, skills and expertise or personal experience to make a difference to local health and care services?

If yes, then we would like to hear from you.

We are seeking to enhance the diversity of our Board and if you have a Black, Asian, or Minority Ethnic background, or you are a younger person, then we are particularly interested in hearing from you. We are also interested in hearing from people who have existing links into the local voluntary sector, and/or with finance expertise, or a background in digital inclusion.

All of our Directors are volunteers, unpaid, but with reasonable expenses being met. Directors are appointed for 3 years, with an opportunity to extend for a second 3 year tenure.

If you want a chance to influence the health and social care agenda, please submit a CV and covering statement explaining why you would like to become a Director of Healthwatch Brighton and Hove and how you meet the role description and person specification which is attached below. Additional information including what we do, is available on our website: https://www.healthwatchbrightonandhove.co.uk/
