Healthwatch Brighton and Hove Performance Report (Apr - Sep 2025)

Our six-month Performance Report is part of our contractual requirement with Brighton and Hove City Council and demonstrates what we have achieved between 1st April 2025 and 30th September 2025. 

Headlines - 1st April 2025 to 30th September 2025

• We gathered patient opinions on NHS satisfaction, booking GP appointments, community-based hypertension testing, and Trans and Non-binary experiences of GPs.
• We heard from over 2,700 people during this first six months of the year.
• We published 18 reports.
• We attended 33 board meetings, including the Health and Well-Being Board, Health Overview and Scrutiny Committee, and the Safeguarding Adults Board.
• Publicised over 14 events to the public and sent six mailshots to our mailing list.
• We partnered with Sanctuary on Sea on a successful application for a Sussex Inclusion Health Grant. The project explored the health care characteristics and needs of refugees, migrants and asylum seekers.
• Produced two reports from our Enter and View and an Environmental Audit at the Emergency Department at the Royal Sussex County Hospital and the Sussex Kidney Unit.
• Continued to deliver our Healthwatch In Sussex polls, including topics covering carers, nutrition and changes to GP practices.
• Received 8,777 unique users to our website,
• Published a workplan of our projects.

Our Annual Performance report is separate from our statutory Annual Report, which we publish by 30th June.
