A guide to health and wellbeing apps

NHS Sussex has launched an online library to help people find safe, reliable apps to support them to manage their health and wellbeing.

Trusted health and wellbeing apps

A new website has been launched by NHS Sussex organisations which acts as a library for health and wellbeing apps.

The library brings together independently reviewed health and care apps in one place, so people can confidently choose digital support that’s secure, clinically validated, and relevant to their needs. These apps cover a wide range of areas including mental health, long-term conditions such as diabetes, healthy lifestyle, and support for parents.

Explore the library

Developed in partnership with ORCHA (the Organisation for the Review of Care and Health Apps), the library helps cut through the thousands of health apps available online.

Every listing includes clear descriptions of what the app offers, how it works, and how it supports specific health and self-management needs - giving users more choice and control over their wellbeing. Each app is also scored out of 100 for data usage, professional assurance, usability and accessibility.

The library supports Sussex’s vision for Digital Inclusion: to create an inclusive, accessible, and adaptive digital health and social care system, where everyone involved in giving or receiving care - regardless of their circumstances - has the confidence, capability, and support to benefit from digital health and care. More information can be found about digital inclusion here.
