Have you been bereaved of a loved one by suicide at Beachy Head?
In East Sussex, there is a strong record of planning and supporting suicide prevention actions at Beachy Head, which sadly continues to be a place where many people come to take their lives.
Learning from successful prevention work in San Francisco and Sydney, East Sussex County Council would value hearing your voices and learning from those who have lost loved ones at Beachy Head so that their work can be enhanced and strengthened.
To help them do this, you're invited to attend a special meeting so that you can share your stories in a safe and confidential space. The meeting will take place at a private hotel in central Lewes, just five minutes’ walk from the railway station.
How you participate
How you choose to participate on the day is entirely up to you. There is no obligation to speak and you may wish to just listen and be around others who share a common experience.
This meeting is not a support group but will be a place to hear your voices in a supportive environment. There will be trained counsellors present should you need their support.
Their team recognise how difficult it may be for you to join, and hope that in doing so, you will know that you are contributing to preventing future deaths at Beachy Head.
