Healthwatch surveyed nearly 1500 people across Brighton and Hove in 2017 asking them about their experiences of primary care.

The responses from trans individuals showed consistently lower ratings for GP practices than the overall population.

Trans individuals gave an average overall rating of their GP practice of 7.3 out of 10 compared to the overall average of 7.9. And 72% reported satisfaction with their practice compared to 82% overall.

Interestingly these respondents were more likely than the overall population to highlight the need to listen to patient concerns and continuity of care from one doctor when identifying the three most important things for a GP practice.
