Patients still fast track to A&E
Healthwatch found that despite publicity about alternative services, patients still choose to visit A&E directly without first consulting alternatives.
Healthwatch carried out two reviews of the Emergency Departments at the Royal Sussex County Hospital.
Both reviews collected feedback from patients about their experience of the departments. We also asked patients about their knowledge of other services they could have sought help from as an alternative to attending A&E directly.
