Brighton & Hove Health & Adult Social Care Report 2022-2023

Brighton and Hove City Council has published the Health and Adult Social Care annual report 2022 to 2023.

The report sets out what has been achieved and the city has performed in Adult Social Care, over the period from 2022-2023. It shows the areas that are important to people from recent surveys and engagement, and what we plan to focus on and improve. It also gives specific guidance on how and where to access information and support. We hope this will be a useful tool to help promote what support is out there for our residents.

The report was discussed at the March Health and Wellbeing Board which Healthwatch Brighton and Hove attend. 

The report is available on the Counci's website Health and Adult Social Care annual report 2022 to 2023 (brighton-hove.gov.uk).  An Easy Read version will be made available.

New advice and support services to help people waiting for treatment in Sussex

A record six million people are currently waiting for hospital treatment. The NHS has set out a plan to address backlogs that built up during the COVID-19 pandemic and tackle long waiting lists for care.
The plan will give patients greater control over their own health, giving them the right to swap provider if they are waiting too long, with more personalised service, & freeing up appointments for those that need them.
