Healthwatch in Sussex poll: your views on recent changes to GP surgeries

Changes to GP surgeries
Healthwatch in Sussex (Brighton & Hove, East Sussex and West Sussex) routinely carries out short polls to gather the views of people about local health and social care services.
If you live in Sussex, we would like to find out what you know about, and how satisfied you are with, the recent changes in GP surgeries.
In 2023, the NHS announced how they intended to improve access to GPs.
Changes which have been rolled out include improved telephone systems (e.g. call backs), offering online consultations, and improved websites. Further to this, new and additional roles have been created in GP practices to solve the workforce shortage e.g. Advanced Practitioners.

Please share any personal experiences, or those of a friend, family member, or someone else you know, via this short poll.
We want to understand:
- Who are you being treated by in GP surgeries and how satisfied are you with the treatment received.
- Have you used technology to access your GP and the NHS?
- How comfortable you are in using technology to access your GP surgery and the NHS.
This poll will run until midnight on September 30th 2025.
