Grassroots Suicide Prevention peer support survey
Grassroots Suicide Prevention
In the UK, 115 people die by suicide every week. Grassroots Suicide Prevention is working to change that. They assert that suicides can be prevented with timely intervention, and anyone can learn these life-saving skills. Together, communities can reduce the stigma around suicide by campaigning for change and talking about it openly.
Peer support
Peer support is when people who have lived experience of similar challenges support one another through shared understanding, empathy and mutual learning. This can take many forms, such as one-to-one conversations, group spaces, online communities, or activity-based support.
Grassroots Suicide Prevention are exploring how peer support might become part of their future work. In particular, they want to understand what kinds of peer support people have found helpful, what has worked well, and what could be improved.
Take part
Your responses will help Grassroots understand people’s experiences and shape how peer support might develop within our community.
Take part in their anonymous survey
The survey takes around 5-10 minutes to complete, depending on which questions are relevant to you.
They do not ask for any identifying information in this survey. At the end, you’ll have the option to receive updates about the project or hear about opportunities to get involved. If you choose to do so, you’ll be taken to a separate form where you can provide your email address. This is entirely optional and helps ensure your survey responses remain anonymous.
All questions are optional, except for a small number designed to guide you to the most relevant sections.
