Healthwatch dental survey launched – take our survey and enter a prize draw!
During the COVID-19 lockdown dental services faced increased pressures and requirements. They implemented new pathways and safety measures and adapted to fast-changing operating procedures. Patients told us that it was sometimes unclear how or when they could access dental services. Face to face consultations were replaced by alternatives such as advice by phone or video. And urgent dental treatment has required a referral into new centres established across Sussex.
We are therefore keen to understand more about your experiences of using dental services as a result of the coronavirus (COVID-19) and are launching our dental survey today. Click here to take the survey, or use the link at the bottom of this page.
We also want to hear your ideas for how dental services can operate in the future building on any positive changes that occurred as a result of COVID-19 e.g. are alternatives to face to face consultations (phone, video) useful?
By way of background: in late March 2020, non-urgent dental activity stopped due to COVID-19. Urgent Dental Centres were then established in April. From 8 June dental practices were told they could start to reopen, but many have done this in a phased way.
Please only answer this survey if you used, or tried to use, any type of dental service after 25 March 2020. We would also recommend completing this survey on a laptop, PC or tablet
