About this event
Dementia Action Week
Dementia Action Week is an awareness campaign led by Alzheimer’s Society, bringing people and organisations together to act on dementia.
The campaign is taking place from the 18th - 24th May 2026, and will continue to raise awareness of dementia - the UK's biggest killer - by sharing the stories behind the iconic Forget Me Not. The Alzheimer’s Society states that it’s only by coming together that we can beat dementia - by giving vital support to those who need it, funding ground-breaking research, and campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be.
As part of Dementia Action Week, Age UK West Sussex Brighton and Hove (WSBH) is holding a pop-up information session at the Age UK Brighton Hub. Liz from Alzheimer’s Society will be joining them to provide information, advice and support for anyone affected by dementia. The session is open to people living with dementia, carers, family members, friends and professionals looking for information or support.
