Launched in October, Brighton Pulse is already receiving valuable feedback from users of health and social care services in the city. Users are providing detailed feedback on their experiences as well as ratings on standard aspects of the service ranging from staff attitudes, waiting times to quality of care. Currently, submissions about GP surgeries suggest varying satisfaction with services provided.
Areas of concern for GP surgeries include waiting times on the day of appointment, the quality of care received and involvement in decisions:
- less than a third of patients rated waiting times on day of appointment as good
- more than half of patients, 57%, rated the quality of care received as poor
- more than half of patients, 57%, rated the degree of involvement in decisions as good
On a more positive note, a majority of users, 57%, reported that the environment in GP surgeries was good.
