Healthwatch Brighton and Hove six-month Performance Report (1st April 2024 to 30th September 2024)

Our six-month performance report demonstrates what we have achieved between April 1st 2024 and September 30th 2024.

Headlines:

  • Performed Enter and View visits to the Fracture Clinic at Royal Sussex County Hospital and Southland Hospital.
  • Received 121 information line enquiries with the majority of people raising a concern or complaint about a health and social care service (87 people). 22 people requested information and 12 people left compliments about a service. The three leading areas of concern which we are closely monitoring are poor hospital care including waiting times and poor communication around appointments; poor quality of care from a GP; lack of an NHS dentist.
  • 22 reports published with 45 recommendations.
  • Engaged 1,874 people in reports (excluding helpline).
  • 20 newsletters produced.
  • 37 Board meetings attended.
  • 177 decision-making meetings attended (excluding Board).
  • 10,015 unique users on the website.
