Speak Up Against Cancer, Albion in the Community’s cancer awareness and early detection programme, is keen to find out from local people how they feel about cervical screening. We would like to hear from anyone who has a cervix and lives in Brighton and Hove.
Anyone with a cervix and aged between 25 and 64 should have regular cervical screening tests. Cervical screening saves around 5,000 lives in England each year. It can detect HPV (human papilloma virus), which is linked to most cases of cervical cancer. It tests for abnormal cells at the neck of the womb, not for cancer.
Anyone who completes the questionnaire can enter our prize draw to win £50 shopping vouchers – the draw will be made on 1 December – just in time for some seasonal shopping! The completed questionnaires will help us to target our campaign messages in a way that will encourage people to benefit from a lifesaving screening programme. All information is confidential.
If you have any questions about the survey or would like to discuss any concerns about cervical screening, please contact the Speak Up team by emailing [email protected] or calling 01273 878261.
